Giacomo Baldan, owner of KGB Consulting, in Mira near Venice, Italy

Mira, Italy · since 2021

I am Giacomo Baldan.

I am based in Mira, near Venice, and from here I build websites, online shops, management systems and AI tools for companies. I work on my own, but not really.

How I got here

  1. The first online shop

Shut in at home like everyone else, I start selling online. I learn Shopify and influencer marketing, and I learn one thing I still use today: what makes people buy, and what makes them close the page.

  2. I register the business

In October KGB Consulting is born. I move from online shops to websites: the businesses around me needed to be found, and to stop looking smaller than they are, well before they needed to sell online.

  3. I build myself a company

When artificial intelligence arrived I stopped using it the way everyone does, to get a couple of emails written, and started building a company inside it. From then on I have not done the work alone.

My employees never sleep.

They are not people: they are AI agents, and I built them one by one myself. Not one assistant that does a bit of everything, but real teams, one per trade, each with its own instructions, which I correct after every job.

Put together they do the work that in an agency gets split between several people. What that changes for you: it costs less, because I do not carry an agency’s structure, and it arrives sooner, because I am not really working alone. A website, when it is needed, I can deliver in 24 hours.

And they really do not sleep: a job I leave running in the evening, in the morning I find it moved on. My trade is arriving in the morning and deciding what to keep.

How they are built, who coordinates them and what I do not let them do, I have written out in full on another page, without pretending it is more magic than it is.

  • The ones who program

They write the code of the website, the online shop or the management system, and they read it back line by line.

  • The ones who design

How it looks and how it is used: the structure of the pages, the colours, the images, how it comes out on a phone.

  • The ones who write

The texts. Not filler: the sentences that have to make it clear in three seconds what you do and why.

  • The ones who go and look

They study the business, the competitors, the reviews, what is already online. First you look, then you build.

  • The ones who check

They go back over the others’ work hunting for mistakes and send back whatever is not up to it.

  • The sales psychologists

They study how your customer thinks before I write a single quote. It is the team nobody expects.

Who is in charge

The machine puts in the hours, the head is mine

When you write to me, I am the one who answers. There is no sales person passing the file to a technician who calls you back the week after: the person you talk to at the start is the same one who builds the job, and the same one who answers you in six months if something is not right.

The agents do the mechanical work. What to build, how it has to turn out and what goes out of the door, I decide, from the start to the delivery: nothing reaches you without me having looked at it. If something comes out wrong it is not an agent’s fault, it is mine, for letting it through.

Mira, Italy, and half an hour around it.

My office is in the Riviera del Brenta, near Venice, and most of my customers are within half an hour’s drive. Everything that does not need me in the room gets built from here.

2021

The year I started

Since then I have been building websites, online shops and custom software for companies.

20+

Projects delivered

Websites, online shops, management systems, automations and simulators. They are all in the portfolio.

3

Provinces I come to in person

Venice, Padua and Treviso. Outside those I work remotely, and the method does not change.

Tell me what you do. I will tell you if I can be useful.

Half an hour is enough to work that out. If I cannot help you I say so straight away, without wasting your time.
